Treatment by Condition Database

Did you know that studies have proven that Vitamin D alone is an effective treatment option for Lower Back Pain(1)?  Or that research supports spinal manipulation as an effective method for helping patients with cervical disc herniations (2)?  With our Treatment by Condition Database simply enter your patients Conditions and we will connect you the complementary treatment options that are supported by peer-reviewed literature. This information can then be exported to a patient specific report for co-management with other healthcare providers.  Support your treatment plans with research and watch your referrals increase!

Co-Managing Care

Wouldn't it be great to be able to document to other healthcare providers the research that supports your treatment plans?  From Acne to Alzheimer's, to Carpal Tunnel and Lower Back Pain, our Treatment by Condition database will support your treatment plans with research.  Click below to view a sample report.

Medication Side-Effect Database

Many drugs have side effects that could be the very cause of your patient's symptoms. eMedFx was designed by doctors who acknowledge and respect drug side effects as a potential cause or contributor of patient's symptoms.

Most drug side effects are only evaluated for potentially life threatening complications, while ignoring pain or discomfort that this medication may be causing the patient. There is a tremendous amount of information available on potential musculoskeletal (MSK) side effects of certain medication (i.e. Headaches, Joint pain, Muscle spasms, General Aches, Pain, and Paresthesia). In most cases neither the patient nor the healthcare provider considers that these symptoms may be related to a drug side effect.

eMedFx will allow you to easily analyze medications to see if a patient's MSK symptoms overlap with a side effect of their drugs. This information can then be exported to a patient specific report.

Prescription Drug Usage

Prescription drug usage shows no signs of slowing down. By the year 2020, it is projected that hospital drug prescription orders will be 3.5 Billion (1). Also by 2020, it is anticipated that each licensed pharmacist will be filling 108,000 orders (1). This number unfortunately does not include outpatient services, which are also astronomically high with $191 billion, spent in 2004 (2). It is extremely important in good clinical practice to be aware of the potential side effects of the drugs that patients are taking.

Simply enter your patient's medications and MSK symptoms into the database and eMedFx completes these tasks for you. All you have to do is read the patient specific report. It is that simple!
